Pourquoi ne pas avoir invoqué un pays où il y a beaucoup plus de retombées économiques mais pas mal plus d'inégalités comme l'Arabie Saoudite?
Justement l'Arabie Saoudite (141) est pas très loin devant le Vénézuela (144). L'Arabie Saoudite a beaucoup de richesse, mais pas de liberté économique. Leur richesses est entre les mains d'une très petite minorité. Et leur manque de liberté civiles les ont fait dégringolé dans le classement.
Les problèmes sociaux sont multifactoriels (la religion joue un rôle favorisant les inégalités en Arabie Saoudite), c'est pourquoi votre "évidence" est trop binaire pour être réellement juste.
Selon le tableau de l'appendice E, les Saoudiens n'ont aucune liberté de mouvement, ce qui n'aide pas le libre échange de biens et service.
